The EFF stakeholders are not only contributors to the eFactory platform, but also those who contribute in building the EFF ecosystem and making it sustainable over time.
The EFF members contribute towards the enhancement and maintenance of the EFF platform. Anyone can join the EFF to contribute toward an open and interoperable ecosystem.
European Factory Foundation (EFF)
The European Factory Foundation is the enabler and facilitator of the digital manufacturing ecosystem in Europe, establishing and operating a digital platform that interlinks digital manufacturing solutions, smart factory tools and Industry 4.0 concepts to realise a federated smart factory ecosystem in Europe.
The EFF ecosystem is composed of many innovative functionalities that are being sought in the modern manufacturing domain. By allowing users to make use of interoperable solutions from different providers, the EFF ecosystem reduce the time to respond to new opportunities and simplifies the management and control of distributed activities. In the EFF ecosystem, both users and providers of smart factory tools and services benefit from interoperable offerings with adequate level of transparency related to players in the ecosystem, as well as experimentation facilities and interfaces to industrial implementations of Smart Factory solutions and Industry 4.0 concepts
The European Factory Foundation harnesses the experience of its member organisations to promote innovative solutions and foster their adoption across the digital manufacturing domain. The members bring a wealth of experience from research, solution development, innovation management, business modelling, user engagement and stakeholder management. The combination of these experiences allows the European Factory Foundation to put together a wide range of innovative solutions and cater the most emerging needs of companies in the manufacturing and logistics sector.
